This policy explains what information Breakfast Ball collects, how it's used, and what control you have over it. It's written to match what the app actually does — nothing more, nothing hidden.
What Breakfast Ball Is
Breakfast Ball is a personal golf practice tracker. You log range shots and putts, manage your own club bag, and see stats and recommendations based on your own history. There's no account, no login, and no social features.
Information You Provide
Everything you log in Breakfast Ball — range shots (club, contact, trajectory, direction, distance), putts (distance, break, result), your club bag, and any notes you write — is stored only in your own private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. This data is:
- Synced automatically across your own devices signed into the same iCloud account
- Never sent to us, never visible to us, and never stored on any server we operate
- Entirely under your control — deleted the moment you delete it in the app (Settings → Delete All Data) or if you delete the app itself
We have no ability to see, access, or recover this data. There is no backend server for Breakfast Ball to send it to.
Analytics Data
Breakfast Ball uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand overall usage patterns — for example, how many shots or putts get logged, or how often people use a given feature. This is limited to:
- An anonymous device/app identifier — not tied to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal identity
- Usage events — actions like logging a shot or putt, updating your bag, or viewing a recommendation. The values recorded are things like club name, shot distance, and result — never any free-text notes you write in the app
This data is not used to track you across other apps or websites, is not linked to your identity, and is not shared with data brokers or advertisers. We don't run ads in Breakfast Ball and don't have an advertising business. Analytics data is used solely to understand and improve the app.
Google's own privacy practices for Firebase Analytics apply to how they process this data on our behalf — see Google's Privacy Policy.
What We Don't Collect
Breakfast Ball doesn't collect or access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data, or any information from other apps. There's no account creation, so we don't collect your name, email, or password.
Data Sharing
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties for their own purposes. The only parties involved in handling data at all are:
- Apple (iCloud/CloudKit) — stores your logged practice data in your own private iCloud account
- Google (Firebase Analytics) — processes anonymous usage events on our behalf, as described above
Children's Privacy
Breakfast Ball is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
- Delete your data: Settings → Delete All Data removes everything logged in the app
- Stop iCloud sync: manage this in your device's iCloud settings — this affects sync across your devices but doesn't send anything to us either way
- Uninstall the app: removes it from your device; your iCloud data follows the same deletion rules as above
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a new feature changes what data is collected — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.

This policy describes Breakfast Ball's data handling as implemented in the App. If you're a developer updating this document after a change to the App's data practices, review it against the current codebase before publishing — this text should always match what the App actually does, not what it's planned or assumed to do.
